The Vice President of Operational Excellence will serve as the strategic and execution leader of the Point of Care (POC) global manufacturing strategy. Reporting directly to the SVP of Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations, this executive will support the SVP defining, leading, and executing the strategic direction for the global POC manufacturing network — aligning footprint, capacity, technology, and talent strategies to meet future business needs.

This leader will drive transformational projects at the enterprise level, ensuring strong collaboration and synergy with other Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics (DX) divisions to maximize efficiency, optimize capital deployment, and leverage the global manufacturing ecosystem across Siemens Healthineers DX.

Key Responsibilities

Global Manufacturing Strategy

  • Develop and own the global manufacturing strategy for the POC division, aligning site capabilities, regional footprints, and technology investments to business needs and margin expansion targets.
  • Partner with DX divisional leaders to identify and execute cross-enterprise synergies, shared services, and co-location opportunities across global sites.
  • Evaluate make-vs-buy strategies, capacity planning models, and long-term network optimization initiatives.
  • Lead due diligence and integration planning for new manufacturing technologies, acquisitions, and site expansions.


Enterprise Transformational Leadership

  • Lead global transformation programs that reshape POC’s operational footprint, focusing on scalability, cost competitiveness, and agility.
  • Drive enterprise-level initiatives that improve end-to-end manufacturing efficiency — from supplier through final assembly and distribution.
  • Collaborate with Siemens Healthineers’ DX and corporate operations teams to align strategy, governance, and investment priorities.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for key capital projects and modernization programs.


Operational Continuity and Leadership Readiness

  • Serve as a ready-now operational executive capable of assuming interim or acting VP of Manufacturing responsibilities at any global POC site to ensure business continuity.
  • Provide strategic oversight and mentoring to site leadership teams to ensure consistent execution of global strategy and operational discipline.


Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the deployment of the Siemens Healthineers Performance System (HPS) as a framework to sustain performance gains and cultural adoption of continuous improvement.
  • Support Lean transformation, KPI standardization, and structured problem-solving to underpin strategic goals.


Leadership and Capability Building

  • Build and lead a world-class team of operational excellence and strategic manufacturing professionals.
  • Cultivate a culture of high performance, innovation, and collaboration across POC sites and DX divisions.


Qualifications

  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing operations or supply chain transformation within the diagnostics, medical devices or other regulated industries.
  • Direct plant management or site leadership experience is required; must be confident stepping into interim site leadership as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-level transformation across multiple global sites.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or performance systems.
  • Strong business acumen, capital investment strategy, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across senior leadership levels.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and gain cross-functional alignment in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and team development skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field required; MBA or advanced technical degree strongly preferred.


Travel Requirement

  • Up to 30–40% global travel to lead strategic initiatives, engage with site leadership, and coordinate cross-divisional programs.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is

Min $194,260 - Max $291,400

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
