Elementary School-Based Occupational Therapist Needed!

Contract Position | 32 Hours/Week | School Hours

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a well-respected district to support therapy services at the elementary level. We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based services for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, with a high likelihood of ESY extension. This is a great opportunity to support a diverse student population while collaborating with a strong multidisciplinary team.

Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist, you will support a caseload of approximately 40-45 elementary students, including some learners within the school's autism program. This role includes supervision of a COTA who is shared between two schools in the district. Services include evaluations, direct treatment, documentation, and ongoing consultation with teachers and related providers.

A structured 2.5-day paid orientation/shadowing period is provided to ensure a smooth transition before taking over the caseload.

Location: Plymouth, MA

Start Date: March 18, 2026

Orientation/Shadowing: March 18-20 (2.5 days)

Begins: March 23

Expected End Date: June 15 (likelihood of extension into the summer)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM | 32 hrs/week

Pay Rate: $60/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services per IEP requirements

• Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress reporting

• Support fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and functional school skills

• Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and related service providers

• Supervise and coordinate with an assigned COTA

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation

• Participate in IEP meetings as needed

Qualifications

• Active MA Occupational Therapist (OT) License

• Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred
