Senior Loan Review Analyst

Manages and executes the Commercial Loan Review function and serves as primary backup to the Chief Credit Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs internal loan reviews on commercial loan relationships in the Bank's loan portfolio under the direction of the FVP Loan Review Manager. This entails capturing the status of internal credit analysis and annual reviews performed, performing an independent financial and risk analysis of the borrower relationship including the accuracy of the risk rating assigned to the loans at the time of internal loan review.
• Provides assistance to the FVP Loan Review Manager in ensuring that adequate commercial loan risk identification, loan approval standards, and portfolio reporting are maintained.
• Reviews commercial loan portfolio reports for accuracy

Experience and Skills:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Mastery of advanced accounting and financial analysis skills
• Mastery of advanced financial writing skills
• Solid understanding of the legal aspects of lending, including loan documentation
• Knowledge of sound banking processes and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and persuasively defend complex credit positions
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Functional familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• BA or BS, with course work in accounting and/or finance
• Minimum of 5 years commercial lending or commercial credit work experience.
