Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment at a prestigious Boston medical center specializing in eye and ear care. This travel position involves operating radiographic equipment primarily during day shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute various imaging exams including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs as ordered by healthcare providers.
- Prepare and position patients comfortably and safely for procedures while clearly explaining the process to ease their concerns.
- Operate and calibrate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols using lead aprons, shields, and monitoring dosage for patient and staff protection.
- Maintain accurate patient records and utilize electronic medical records systems for documentation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to guarantee image accuracy and clarity.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology required; experience cannot substitute.
- Current Radiologic Technologist license for the state.
- Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in radiology technology.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

This part-time travel assignment provides an opportunity to contribute to a specialized healthcare setting while experiencing the lively city of Boston.
