Boston Speech Therapy is looking for a compassionate and skilled Part-Time or Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team! This position pays $65-75 per hour, and it’s at a middle school.

In this role, you will provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, focusing on creating a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement and learning
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Coordinate with other educators and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Adapt instructional methods based on individual student needs and assessments

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Valid state certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with K-8 students, particularly in a special education setting
  • Knowledge of various learning disabilities and tailored instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Commitment to the social and academic growth of all students
