Accounts Payable Clerk
Join our team in the Corporate Office at Lafrance Hospitality located in Westport, MA . We are excited to add a new member to our Accounts Payable Team .
We are looking to fill the position of a Full-Time Accounts Payable Clerk .
Pay: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage vendor invoices and payments including scanning into system
- Create vendor master files as needed
- Review invoices for proper General Ledger coding
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry
- Respond to external vendors and internal departments regarding all aspects of the A/P process
- Select invoices for payment, print checks and prepare for mailing
- Reconcile vendor statements, and research and correct discrepancies
- Maintain payment schedule for all recurring invoices
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift, 8 hour shift
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of experience in accounts payable (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Maintains high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Proficient in the use of computers, MS Office (including Word, Excel), accounting software
- Professional and courteous telephone manners
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of accounts payable
- Able to work as a team member in the accounting department and to be able to interact with other departments within the company
