Senior Associate – Private Wealth Services

Practice Area: Private Wealth, Estate Planning, and Tax Law

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: Hybrid – Up to 2 remote days/week, Full-Time

Renowned for its high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client advisory, this firm’s Private Wealth Services Group supports complex estate, succession, and tax planning. This role arises from increased client demand across jurisdictions, notably with NY- and CT-based tax planning components.

Position Summary

This senior associate will join a sophisticated private wealth team providing tailored estate, succession, and tax planning to individual and business clients, including those with assets across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities include drafting complex trust structures, advising on cross-border and philanthropic tax strategies, and handling estate administration including crypto-assets. The role is well-suited for someone with strong experience in both domestic and international planning who thrives on detailed legal drafting and client interaction. Candidates must be licensed in both New York and Connecticut.

Required Expertise

• 3+ years in estate, gift, and tax planning for high-net-worth clients
• Licensed to practice in both New York and Connecticut
• Strong experience drafting advanced trust and estate documents
• Familiarity with U.S. tax impacts on expatriates and foreign nationals
• Proficient in trust administration and fiduciary tax issues
• Experience with cryptocurrency as a trust asset
• JD degree and a strong academic background

Salary Range: $360,000 – $400,000/year , commensurate with experience, within Boston market norms.
