Veterinary Technician Surgery

VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our team at our busy, 24-hour emergency/referral/multi-specialty and general practice in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Compensation : $25.00 - $38.00 / hour for a CVT. based on skill set, experience and licensure status. Experienced Veterinary Assistants welcome to apply.

Schedule: Mostly weekdays, and rotating weekends.

Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties :

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug doses
• Full Technician Skill Utilization, bronchoscopy, endoscopes, and more!
• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
• Paid on-call availability
• Ability to work additional hours if necessary
• Minimum 1 year experience

Credentialed Technician is a plus but we will also support the right candidate in their pursuit of CVT or VTS credentialing.
