Haverhill Country Club is seeking certified, responsible Lifeguards to join our aquatics team for the season. This is a great opportunity to work in a fun, professional summer environment while helping provide a safe and welcoming pool experience for our members and guests.

Position Overview

Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining safety at the pool facility, enforcing club policies, and delivering excellent service in a private club setting. Team members will rotate through multiple assigned positions each day based on a timed rotation schedule to ensure safety, fairness, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool and surrounding areas to ensure the safety of members and guests
• Rotate through assigned positions throughout each shift according to a scheduled rotation, which may include:
• Elevated lifeguard stand and deck patrol
• General tidiness of the pool deck and surrounding areas
• Light upkeep and monitoring of locker rooms
• Staffing the pool check-in desk and greeting members
• Assisting with the kids’ activity area as needed
• Supporting cabana rentals, including setup, monitoring, and light upkeep
• Enforce pool rules and club policies consistently and professionally
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
• Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to members and guests
• Assist with daily pool setup, breakdown, and operational support

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent required)
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Strong swimming skills
• Reliable, attentive, and professional demeanor
• Ability to remain focused and adaptable while rotating between roles
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
