About the role:
This Senior Product Manager is responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for the company, with a focus on upstream marketing and software development related to cardiac mapping and pulsed field ablation. The candidate oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs working closely with engineering and clinical teams to develop differentiated solutions for patients and physicians. This person is experienced in the EP clinical setting (ex. mapping specialist) and familiar with highly technical and clinical products, demonstrates strengths in customer insights, product development, and business acumen.
Responsibilities will include:
- Determines clear and specific priorities for the development of new cardiac mapping software and software enhancements for pulsed field ablation by defining user needs and working with other internal functional groups.
- Leads voice-of-customer (VOC) and voice-of-business (VOB) activities for current and proposed investments. Formulates recommendations based on data collected and advocates for customer needs while collaborating on product inputs and clinical benchmarks.
- Constructively gathers input and challenges assumptions with Global counterparts to refine product decisions. Makes recommendations on product launch cadence leveraging a broad organizational, technical capability and competitive perspective.
- Positively represents the company by visiting accounts and users to solicit feedback on company products and services.
- Consolidates and disseminates a deep understanding of the competitive global EP landscape. Contribute to understanding key industry dynamics in formulating technology, clinical and commercial strategies. Supports regional training of marketing and sales teams.
- Develop and leverage marketing insights to define marketing claims and value propositions.
- Network with colleagues in other divisions and cross-functional departments to align strategies and opportunities.
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality. Understand and comply with all regulations governing the quality systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical fields.
- 5+ years of professional experience in the medical device industry, especially cardiovascular or electrophysiology fields.
- Flexibility to travel up to 20% in support of tradeshows, internal meetings and customer programs as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical EP experience, including mapping specialist
- Advanced degrees, including M.S., Ph.D., or MBA.
- Proven track record of Physician and KOL engagement.
