Quality Inspector
As a Quality Inspector, you are the final line of defense in our manufacturing process. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a high-performance mindset to ensure every component meets our rigorous engineering standards. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, reading technical blueprints, and utilizing precision measuring tools to verify that our products are built to survive the most demanding environments. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in technical accuracy and refuses to settle for "good enough."
What's In It For You
- Stability & Growth: Work within a high-demand industry where your technical skills are respected and cultivated.
- Skill Advancement: Access to ongoing training and professional development to help you earn new industry certifications.
- High-Performance Culture: Join a team that values "grit" and rewards employees who take ownership of their work.
- Modern Environment: Use high-end precision instruments and software in a professional manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities Include
- Perform detailed first-article, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts and assemblies.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications.
- Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain detailed inspection logs.
- Identify, tag, and segregate non-conforming materials, assisting in the root-cause analysis for defects.
- Collaborate closely with the fabrication and machining teams to troubleshoot production issues and improve yield.
- Ensure all calibrated equipment is up to date and handled with extreme care to maintain measurement integrity.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and 2D/3D blueprints.
- Measurement Expertise: Proven experience using manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, etc.).
- GD&T Knowledge: A solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing symbols and applications.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minute deviations from specifications that others might miss.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal skills to explain technical defects to production supervisors and engineers.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with ERP/MRP software or digital quality logging systems.
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (Aerospace, Medical, or Defense experience is a plus).
- Professionalism: A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high output.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience, education, certifications, and specific job-related skills. $23 - $27/hr
Comprehensive Benefits: Includes premium health insurance (medical, dental, vision) and eligibility for an incentive recognition bonus program. Access to training and development to expand your professional certifications.
