Title: R&D Engineering Intern
Contract: 3 months (May-August)
Location: Chicopee, MA (100% onsite)
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: $16.80 - $17.20
Summary:
Summer Internship will be primarily supporting maintenance of business projects (MOB) with some potential support on New Product Development (NPD) projects. This individual will experience collaboration between the Research and Development group, and Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Planning/Logistics, Packaging/Labeling and Outside Partners.
Responsibilities:
Compiling technical documentation including protocols, reports, etc.
Completing a benchmark study comparing various defibrillation electrodes (protocol, testing, and summary report)
Contributing to the R&D teams Change Development Process of a product/project.
Collaborating with multi-cross functional teams
Asking lots of questions
Having a drive to learn and find new things
Competencies and skill sets that will be developed in this role: Minitab - basic statistical analysis
Communication both written and oral
Computer Aided Design CAD with SolidWorks Rapid Proto typing
Understanding the Medical Device Design Control Laboratory best practices - Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
Qualifications:
Course Recommended: Technical Writing, Engineering Design, and Mechanics of Materials
Current student enrolled with at least two years of college education completed in Engineering
