The role at a glance:
NBBJ Boston is seeking a Project Architect with experience in the design, documentation and planning of complex projects at various scales including large scale hospitals and ambulatory care centers. This is an opportunity to join a fully integrated design studio where a diverse group of technical architects, interior designers, medical planners collaborate as a team from concept design through construction.
In your new role you will:
- Support the technical design and documentation of projects at various scales, focusing on healthcare environments, from large hospitals to complex department renovations.
- Familiarity in developing and finalizing documents to ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, FGI guidelines, with a focus on technical accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Coordinate with interior, MEP, and structural disciplines throughout the design and documentation phases.
- Proven ability to collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction Administration
- 10-12 years of experience in architectural design and documentation, preferably in complex healthcare or institutional projects. Demonstrated excellence in design and innovation
- Experience in projects from design development through construction administration.
- Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship skills, and talent for working with diverse teams of designers and consultants in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with interior documentation and detailing, including casework detailing.
- Strong Revit proficiency
- Professional Licensure or progress toward licensure is encouraged.
- LEED Accreditation, encouraged
- Familiarity with LEAN Concepts, encouraged
This role requires the individual to be based in the United States.
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $95,000 and $110,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
