The Role:
Deciphera is seeking an experienced marketer with oncology and/or rare disease experience to join a growing commercial team.
The Associate Director, Brand Marketing – will be a critical role and a visible leader within the commercial organization, responsible for components of both HCP and Patient marketing strategy and tactical execution.
Reporting directly to the Brand Lead, the ideal candidate will bring rare disease and launch experience and will require close collaboration with key stakeholders across the brand team, playing a key role in integration and execution of brand launch plans This is a critical commercial role which will be instrumental in Deciphera’s continued evolution into a fully integrated, multi-product, commercial biopharma company. The person in this role must be comfortable with operating at both strategic and executional levels, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and influencing them without authority.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the development and drive execution of an integrated marketing plan across both HCP and Patient audiences
- Create and deliver core disease state and branded elements, ensuring alignment with brand strategy
- Develop field sales materials and programs with consistent pull-through of messaging
- Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive digital marketing and non-personal promotion strategies that align with brand objectives, focusing on HCP and patient engagement, awareness and activation
- Support the brand planning, tactical planning, and budget management process
- Collaborate efficiently & effectively with agency and cross-functional partners.
- Utilize advanced analytics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, refine strategies based on insights and metrics
- Be a brand champion – assist in motivating and exciting the commercial team (Sales, Market Access, Training, Operations, Market Research and Analytics) and the company to drive brand success across approved indications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business-related and/or life sciences field required. An MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in pharma/biotech marketing
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing preferred
- Experience in both HCP and Patient marketing preferred
- Oncology and/or rare disease launch experience is highly desired
- Strategic thinking, including being creative in addressing key challenges, applying innovative ideas, and taking measured risks.
- Effective project management skills to enable pull-through of marketing initiatives
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive independently and in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial mind-set and with a track record of exploring new ways of working, driving new opportunities and catalyzing others to build creative solutions.
- Operational knowledge of medical, regulatory, legal review process
- Eager to work in a fast-paced environment, striving for excellence in everything we do, alongside a team driven by improving the lives of patients
- Ability to travel (10-25%)
Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $171,000 - $235,000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.
