Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist - Healthcare/Medical POST NUMBER: 423572

• Oversee and monitor patient and insurance accounts to ensure timely payments and track overdue balances.
• Post payments and adjustments accurately, including insurance adjustments and write-offs.
• Resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies with patients, insurers, and providers.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims to secure payments.
• Reconcile patient accounts and insurance payments, performing regular audits to correct errors.
• Generate and review financial reports related to accounts receivable, providing insights for improved performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or accounts receivable in a healthcare setting, with specific experience handling Medicare and Medicaid claims preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures, insurance claim processing, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and healthcare regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with medical billing software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the referenced salary range ($20-$25/hr) reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
