Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician who will engage in plug and draw processes to size steel tubes under ½” diameter to meet customer specifications. The role involves ensuring quality assurance, managing tube coils, adhering to safety protocols, and working with oil and mineral spirits. The position is physically demanding, requiring lifting up to 50 lbs independently, with assistance available for heavier loads. This position offers cross-training opportunities in various production areas for future utilization.

Responsibilities

• Initiate plug and draw processes to size steel tubes to customer specifications.
• Ensure product quality assurance and maintain safety and process directives.
• Remove tube coils from payloads and properly tie them up.
• Work with oil and mineral spirits safely.
• Assist and learn other production areas for cross-training purposes.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in power tools and machine operation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and inspection skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience.

Work Environment

The position is full-time, requiring 45-50 hours per week, with benefits including PTO, 10 paid holidays, and health insurance. Operating hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM. The workplace encourages teamwork, offers a chance for advancement, and provides comprehensive training in a hands-on environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Needham, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
