Each year, current Smith students help make Commencement and Reunion successful, well-organized, and deeply memorable for thousands of alums. Working Reunion allows students to connect with fellow Smithies, gain hands-on event experience, and build relationships with the alum community.
The Office of Alum Relations hires approximately 200 students annually for about 6,000 shifts across multiple teams.
Reunion work runs from May 9, 2026, through May 24, 2026, with the following Reunion weekends:
- Reunion I: May 14–17, 2026
- Reunion II: May 21–24, 2026
About This Application
This application is for all Reunion roles EXCEPT housekeeping. Students hired through this application may work in areas such as:
- Reunion Experience & Engagement Support
- Dining & Catering
- Registration/Check-in
- Shuttle Support and Driving
- Sophomore Push & Junior Usher
If you specifically want to work in housekeeping, please complete the Housekeeping Only application.
Important Note About Housekeeping Coverage
While this application is not for housekeeping roles, if we are unable to fully staff all housekeeping positions through the Housekeeping Only application, we may need to assign some General Reunion applicants to housekeeping shifts.
We will communicate this early and transparently if it becomes necessary.
Eligibility & Scheduling
- Applicants must be available for the full Reunion work period (May 9–24, 2026).
- Work hours vary weekly depending on the assignment.
- Schedules will be finalized and shared in early May.
Hours & Compensation
- All workers are guaranteed a MINIMUM of 25 hours (22 for housekeeping) per week.
- Actual hours may vary based on role
- Week II hours may be slightly reduced due to fewer Commencement shifts.
- Workers receive compensation for training and all hours worked, plus free room and board during Reunion.
