Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Healthforce
Plymouth, MA
Step into a transformative role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This is your chance to guide families through one of life’s most profound experiences with calm expertise, compassionate listening, and evidence-based care that supports safe, joyful births. In this specialty, your clinical leadership will help mothers, newborns, and families feel secure and prepared at every step—from early labor cues and admission through delivery, postpartum recovery, and discharge planning. You’ll collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatal nurses, and lactation consultants to coordinate care that honors patient preferences and cultural values. The assignment begins on 06/01/2026, offering a dynamic, patient-centered environment where you can grow your skills, lead by example, and deepen your commitment to high-quality perinatal care.

Massachusetts is a state of coastal charm and historic vitality, and Plymouth sits at its heart of maritime heritage. You’ll enjoy access to scenic beaches, charming shops, fresh seafood, and cultural treasures that enrich your off-shift time. The area offers a high quality of life, excellent schools, outdoor recreation, and a thriving healthcare community that supports professional development. For nurses who crave variety, the program also presents opportunities to work in additional locations across the United States, broadening your clinical acumen while maintaining your focus on labor and delivery excellence.

In this role, you will monitor maternal and fetal status, manage labor progression, participate in cesarean deliveries when needed, and perform neonatal resuscitation alongside a skilled team. You’ll lead patient-centered pain management, partner with obstetric surgeons, support rapid response teams during obstetric emergencies, and ensure seamless transition from hospital to home with comprehensive education for new families. Your responsibilities also include coordinating with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, neonatal and lactation teams, and social work as indicated, documenting care plans, and advocating for evidence-based practices like immediate skin-to-skin contact and rooming-in when feasible. This placement emphasizes professional growth through ongoing in-service trainings, certification support, and exposure to high-risk obstetric scenarios in a supportive unit. You’ll have access to a robust suite of resources: simulation labs, mentorship programs, and cross-training that can pave the way to leadership roles within labor and delivery nursing. Competitive compensation is paired with a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities to align with service needs. The position includes weekly pay in the stated range of $2,632 to $2,813, with flexibility regarding scheduling and assignments. The company provides comprehensive support, including 24/7 help desk and clinical liaison teams, so you’re never alone when you’re on assignment. Please note: hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

As a company, we are dedicated to empowering our nurses, fostering clear pathways for career advancement, mentoring, and a truly supportive work culture. We champion professional growth, respect for diverse patient populations, and a balanced approach to work and life. You’ll join colleagues who value integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning, in an environment that celebrates your contributions and invests in your long-term success.

If you’re ready to impact families, grow your expertise in labor and delivery, and join a network that prioritizes your development, apply today. This is your opportunity to make a lasting difference in Massachusetts—and beyond.
