Project QA/QC Manager
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct quality audits and process evaluations to identify and mitigate potential quality risks.
- Work closely with project teams to train and enforce best practices for maintaining quality throughout project execution.
- Ensure that contractor and subcontractor quality programs align with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and superintendents to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
- Oversee and enforce quality control measures across all project phases, including inspections and testing.
- Conduct site inspections, verify adherence to project plans and specifications, and document findings.
- Manage QA/QC documentation, submittals, and reporting to ensure compliance with client and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate with survey teams to validate dredging and marine construction performance.
- Monitor material compliance, equipment calibration, and testing procedures.
- Investigate quality-related issues, document non-conformances, and lead corrective action implementation.
- 5+ years of experience in QA/QC roles within marine construction, dredging, or heavy civil infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and QA/QC best practices.
- Experience working with federal, state, and private-sector clients.
- Proficiency in inspection procedures, process evaluations, and corrective action implementation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using QA/QC tracking software and construction management tools preferred.
- Engineering, construction management, or a related technical degree is preferred but not required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to push, pull, carry, lift, and move 50 lbs. frequently, up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to climb ladders (30’), stairs, and work at heights on unsteady surfaces near or above navigable waters.
- Must be comfortable working on tugs, barges, survey boats, and other vessels in severe weather conditions.
- Requires standing for extended periods on hard surfaces and negotiating uneven, slippery, or moving surfaces.
- Ability to work in tight quarters and confined spaces, including areas with high-voltage and mechanical systems.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions and variable environments, including exposure to mechanical parts, high places, and electrical hazards.
- Work involves 12-hour rotating shifts (7 days per week, 14 days on, 7 days off) with the flexibility to work long hours, nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
