Minimum Requirements:
1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from an accredited college or university with five years of health care experience.
2. Experience with budgeting, client account management, billing, payment plans, collections, cash flow management, and practice management (scheduling and productivity).
3. Strong technical and data analytics skills; information technology; monitoring and maintaining reports (i.e., excel and analytic software programs) and practice management systems.
4. Able to work with a multidisciplinary team, including providers, executive management, and C-suite.
5. Possesses supervisory skills in integrating the needs of the medical, dental and behavioral provider staff with the strategic and financial goals of the organization.
6. Knowledgeable in principles and practices or quality improvement and assurance.
7. Knowledgeable in accountable care organization (ACO) key performance indicators and metrics used to measure and track the ACO's performance in areas like quality of care, cost-effectiveness, risk attribution, empanelment, and patient satisfaction.
8. Knowledgeable in fee-for-service, capitation and sub-capitation payment methodologies.
Principle responsibilities and Duties:
1. Ensures that productivity expectations are met and that quality of care standards are maintained, tracking these measures with the Quality Director.
2. Together with the Practice Manager, oversees the patient practice management system, ensuring the maximization of patient scheduling to ensure providers meet the required maximum contractual patient productivity expectations.
3. In conjunction with the CMO ensures that productivity encounters are closed out every week.
4. Works with the PM to coordinate and support provider schedules to meet productivity goals to ensure revenues are meeting budgeting projections per FTE.
5. Works closely with the CFO, reviewing monthly financial reports for variances and providing solutions to eliminate them.
6. Works with Front Office Management to review the no-show rate and identify areas for potential solutions to address the financial variance. Monitor and track provider-patient no-show rates, ensuring compensation by shifting patients from the waitlist to fill the gaps. Also, double-booking when necessary.
7. Analyze productivity and provider allocation; recommend necessary changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
8. Provide leadership and direction for clinical staff in maximizing revenues by periodically reviewing provider billing encounters.
9. Together with the Quality Director and the Chief Medical Officer, monitor the patient centered medical home (PCMH) and ACO clinical performance measures for providers and provide feedback to ensure these measures are met.
10. Serve in the capacity which oversees the clinical operations performance in the ACO
11. Coordinates and manages accrued time for providers' schedules to ensure that, operationally, there is sufficient patient coverage and that the organization meets the HRSA board-approved hours of operation.
12. Ensure that time and attendance for clinical staff is appropriately documented in the payroll system.
13. Prepare an annual patient visits budget, including medical, dental, and behavioral health, in coordination with the CFO.
14. Create daily, weekly, and monthly patient visits statistical reports comparing actual vs. budget and actual vs. prior year. Follow up with the CFO on root cause analyses to implement action plans.
15. Attends monthly rotational Board meetings, serving as the and preparing PowerPoint presentations to present on medical updates as needed.
16. Carries out other functions as deemed necessary by the President/CEO and CFO.
17. Attends seminars, training sessions and in-services, to keep current with trends and practices in healthcare administration, as needed.
18. Travel to other sites as necessary.
19. May require working evenings and weekends, if needed.
