We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) Hospitalist . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients in the internal medicine department. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, ensuring the well-being of all individuals under your care. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Participate in patient rounds and case conferences.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license.
• Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Prior experience in internal medicine or hospitalist setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Schedule: 7p-7a, specific dates

Will handle codes

Open ICU at night

Anesthesia covers intubations

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
