Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner);PA (Physician's Assistant) Hospitalist;Internal Medicine(Nights)
Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) Hospitalist . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients in the internal medicine department. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, ensuring the well-being of all individuals under your care. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working on diverse and challenging medical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Participate in patient rounds and case conferences.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license.
- Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
- Prior experience in internal medicine or hospitalist setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: 7p-7a, specific dates
Will handle codes
Open ICU at night
Anesthesia covers intubations
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
