If you’re a security, access control and CCTV pro who knows your craft, this is the job that finally matches your skill level. We’re hiring a security estimator to take on meaningful projects dealing with security, access control and CCTV. Also, would include structured cabling and fiber.

What This Job Is Really About

You’ll help us put together accurate estimates for commercial security projects of all sizes. That means reviewing drawings, doing job walks, building BOMs, checking vendor pricing, and supporting our team before and after a project is awarded.

If you’re someone who likes solving problems, enjoys working on a variety of technology systems, and likes seeing your work turn into real world installations, this is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Develop accurate, competitive estimates for security, access control and CCTV as well as low voltage and structured cabling.
• Conduct job site walkthroughs, read blueprints/specs, and document all field conditions.
• Produce designs that meet project and industry standards.
• Build complete BOMs, obtain vendor pricing, and calculate labor requirements.
• Forecast job material and labor needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Required: 2+ years estimating access control, commercial voice/data, fiber, and AV.

Who Thrives in This Role

Someone with strong technical understanding of security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling systems with 2+ years of minimum experience in security estimating. If you know how security systems go together and you’ve worked with voice/data/video or fiber you’re already ahead of the game.

Nice to Have Skills (Not Dealbreakers)

• Familiarity with manufacturers like Verkada, Genetec, Axis
• Experience using AutoCAD or Bluebeam
• Certifications like BICSI or RCDD

• Cabling: 5 years (Required)
• Construction estimating: 3 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

This is a local position but may require some travel for our large national customers. Estimated 95% local and 5% travel.
