Associate Director Of Clinical Operations
The Associate Director, Clinical Operations will play a pivotal, hands-on role in establishing and executing initial clinical trials. Operating within a lean and highly collaborative biotech environment, this individual will be responsible for end-to-end operational leadership of early-phase oncology studies, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to build scalable, inspection-ready clinical operations infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a build-and-execute environment and is comfortable balancing strategy with day-to-day operational execution.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage end-to-end operations for early-phase oncology clinical trials.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop scalable clinical operations infrastructure.
- Ensure clinical trials are inspection-ready and comply with global regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee clinical documentation processes.
- Execute strategic plans while handling day-to-day operational tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 7–10+ years of experience in Clinical Operations within a biotech/pharmaceutical environment.
- Oncology experience is required.
- Strong working knowledge of ICH GCP and global clinical trial regulations.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting early-phase or first-in-human oncology trials is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in small, high-growth, or emerging biotech companies is highly desirable.
- Highly hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working with limited infrastructure.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with leadership.
The work environment is hybrid, combining remote work with onsite collaboration. The role offers high visibility and the opportunity to significantly impact and build clinical operations from the ground up.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Boston, MA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
