Pink Carrot is a growing Healthy Eats Cafe brand, passionate about delivering fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals to our community. We’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and energetic Cafe Manager to oversee two of our locations and lead a team that shares our love for wellness and customer care. In this role, you’ll work closely with the GM and Owner to support daily operations, manage scheduling, assist with hiring and lead your team with energy and accountability. You’ll be instrumental at keeping things running smoothly and helping the team and business grow. Customer service at Pink Carrot is very important to us, ensuring a clean and hospitable experience for our guests is of the upmost importance.
What you’ll do:
* manage employees scheduling across both cafés
* assist in hiring and on boarding new team members
* lead training and support a strong start for new hires
* provide on shift coaching and motivation
* maintain a positive team oriented work culture
* work closely with the general manager and owner on team development and business goals
* assure customer satisfaction is being met
* monitor the quality and accuracy of the food being served
* handle complaints, conflicts or any questions that arise from customers and employees
* coordinate with marketing team to implement local promotions and community outreach
* ensure consistent branding and presentation across both locations
* support new menu rollouts & seasonal items
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2+ years of Café or restaurant management experience
* passion for health nutrition, and customer service
* steady employment track record
* ability to work in a fast paced café, calm under pressure and good at solving problems
* ability to stand for a long periods of time and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
* availability to work, various shifts (day, night or weekends)
* proficiency with TOAST POS system and scheduling software
* highly organized and reliable, ability to multitask and manage time effectively
* set a positive example for all employees and guests
* reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between both café locations,
* bilingual/ Spanish and English a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
as the assistant manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations at both locations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency
Key duties include:
- oversee daily operations at both cafés to ensure a smooth and consistent customer experience
- monitor and improve service & workflow order
- enforce food safety, cleanliness, and health code compliance across both sites
Team Leadership:
- hire, train, schedule and manage staff across both locations
- provide regular performance feedback and coaching to maintain high team morale
- create a positive work environment, and resolve any staff conflicts professionally
Customer Experience:
- maintain high standards of customer service
- handle all customer feedback complaints and special requests with professionalism
- promote a friendly and inviting atmosphere aligned with our healthy brand
Inventory Assistance with GM:
- help manage inventory levels for ingredients and supplies
- track waste and implement strategies to minimize losses
Marketing and Growth:
- coordinate with marketing team to implement local promotions and community outreach
- ensure consistent branding and presentation across locations
- support, new menu rollout, seasonal items and customer engagement strategies
