Job Description:

Roxbury Community College Athletics Department invites applications for part-time, Women's Flag football Head Coach position. History in the Making, apply today for this tremendous opportunity to lead, establish and build our Women's Flag Football Team. We are the only community College in New England area to offer this amazing sport. We are looking for a strong passionate leader, with knowledge of flag football competitions, that can create a fun inclusive learning environment. RCC is a member of NJCAA Region 21 Athletic Conference. The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. Coaches, supervises and develops an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-season and off-season programing, in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives with the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill all tasks attendant to the overall management of the Women's Flag Football team and do so in a manner that is consistent with the educational mission of Roxbury Community College and embodies the educational philosophies of the Department of Athletics and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
• Promote the positive development and growth of student-athletes: academically, athletically and personally; and help monitor academic progress of student-athletes to ensure eligibility and progress towards a degree.
• Recruit and retain student athletes for the Flag Football team in accordance with Roxbury Community College and National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) Guidelines.
• Understand and adhere to all Roxbury Community College, NJCAA and Region 21 Athletic Conference bylaws, rules, policies and protocols.
• Coordinate all practice and training sessions for the Flag Football team and prepare the team for competition.
• Work with Strength and Conditioning Coach to implement Strength and Conditioning programs for student athletes.

Requirements:

• Experience in coaching, playing at a higher education institution or high school level required.
• Experience playing and or Coaching Flag Football at the High School or College level required.
• Bachelor's Degree, master's degree Preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of Institutional, NJCAA and/ or NCAA policies and procedures, Roxbury Community College rules and conference rules are required.
• Knowledge of recruiting in Massachusetts and ability to evaluate high school players for talent to play on the Flag Football team of the College are required.
• Ability to instruct Flag Football related skills.
• Ability to exhibit good judgement.
• Support the Division's Collaborative Mission.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
