Executive Sous Chef

Position Overview: As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires a strong background in culinary arts, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating outstanding food.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation across all dishes.
• Ensure that kitchen operations adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and tracking supplies.
• Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor and manage kitchen operations during service, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery of dishes.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to food quality or presentation.
• Assist with special events, catering, and other culinary projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, fine dining, or upscale restaurant environment.
• Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
