CNC and Manual Machinists

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated CNC and Manual Machinists to join our team in Westfield MA. As a Machinist you will play a key role in our production process utilizing your expertise to fabricate precision parts using both manual and CNC machining techniques. Responsibilities:

• Setting Up and Operating Machines: Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines including lathes milling machines drill presses grinders and Multi-Axis CNC lathe (DOOSAN) PROTO TRAK Lathes Milling Machines (PROTO TRAK) and Bridgeport.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Tool Selection and Maintenance: Select the right cutting tools fixtures and materials. Monitor machine performance make necessary adjustments and perform routine maintenance.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards and specified tolerances.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with team members engineers and supervisors to discuss project requirements and machining processes.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of both manual and CNC machining processes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Skilled in setting up and operating both manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Mastercam programming experience with Proto Trak control preferred.
• Experience with Haas & Doosan multi-axis machines preferred.
• Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments including calipers micrometers depth gauges indicators and dial bores.
• Knowledge of tool holders cutting tools boring bars fixtures inserts and machining accessories.

Position Details:

• Regular hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
• Overtime and weekend hours available and required as needed.
• Opportunity for travel to serve customers onsite.
