Job Summary
We are a rapidly growing sports-focused company looking for the consummate team players to help us organize and operate youth basketball tournaments and showcases nationwide. As a Prep Hoops showcase director, you will be responsible for the execution of our events.
You will be the face of our event operations team and responsible for upholding our standard of first-class showcases at locations around the country. Leverage the tools, training, and resources we provide to create an elite experience for all participants
Responsibilities and Duties
- Planning and Organizing. You will collaborate with our event operations team in the office to organize all details and checklists that go into the pre-event preparation of your event, including picking up event supplies, print orders, and organizing participants onto courts.
- Event Execution. You'll be working closely with venues and staff to carry out a great check-in process, run of show, and wrap-up to ensure the best experience for all in attendance.
- Communication. You will be responsible for communicating with all event staff, including facility contacts.
- Problem Solving. You will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise onsite during the event.
Qualifications and Skills
- Organized. Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
- Event Management. Experience in running showcase events with between 50 and 200 participants is highly preferred.
- Decisive and Problem Solving. Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
- Personable. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- People Management. Experience working with and managing groups of 10 or more people.
- Use of technology. Must have a laptop or iPad and be proficient in working in Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
Benefits and Perks
- Pay. Directors will be paid $500 for one event and $800 for two events back-to-back. Staff attire and meals are provided.
