Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery used in masonry construction. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy construction equipment and small engines including lulls, grout pumps, trucks, forklifts, etc. using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system repairs, and tire services to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Use power tools and specialized diagnostic equipment for precise repairs on engines and hydraulics systems.
  • Maintain detailed service records for each piece of equipment including repair history, parts used, and scheduled maintenance tasks to support ongoing operational needs.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of OEM parts, schematics interpretation, and automotive diagnostics.
  • Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications.
  • Proficiency in working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other heavy machinery.
  • Mechanical expertise in transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • The ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members. Your mechanical expertise will be essential in supporting large-scale construction projects while advancing your career in a fast-paced environment that values safety, innovation, and teamwork.

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
