Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care) | Travel Contract

Location: Falmouth, MA 02540

Duration: 13 Weeks

Pay Rate: $50 to $60/hour (Based on Experience, Negotiable)

Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Schedule Requirement: Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced ICU environment.

This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor, administer medications, and evaluate patient responses
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and support discharge planning
• Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams regarding patient status
• Perform critical care procedures including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Support ICU technologies such as ICP monitoring when required
• Assist in emergency response situations and rapid clinical interventions
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
• May float to Med/Surg Tele units based on operational needs

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts required)
• Minimum ICU / Critical Care nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
• Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Education

• Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program required
• BSN preferred

Certifications

• AHA BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• Pharmacology Competency Exam – Required
• Basic Arrhythmia Exam – Required
• CCRN – Preferred
• TCAR – Preferred
• De-escalation Certification – Preferred
