Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care) | Travel Contract
Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $50 to $60/hour (Based on Experience, Negotiable)
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Schedule Requirement: Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays

Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced ICU environment.
This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor, administer medications, and evaluate patient responses
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and support discharge planning
- Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams regarding patient status
- Perform critical care procedures including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Support ICU technologies such as ICP monitoring when required
- Assist in emergency response situations and rapid clinical interventions
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- May float to Med/Surg Tele units based on operational needs
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts required)
- Minimum ICU / Critical Care nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Education
- Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program required
- BSN preferred
Certifications
- AHA BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
- Pharmacology Competency Exam – Required
- Basic Arrhythmia Exam – Required
- CCRN – Preferred
- TCAR – Preferred
- De-escalation Certification – Preferred
