Job DescriptionCourse Description:
In Culinary Arts, students will learn the necessary skills that are essential in any culinary environment: advanced culinary techniques, budgeting, and menu creation. The project will end with a community based pop-up kitchen that pushes the boundaries of traditional flavor profiles while maintaining rigorous standards of execution, sustainability, and kitchen management.
Preparation & Practice Time:
Up to 2 hours per week preparing for Projects
Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:25pm-3:25pm
Long-term coaching during “Projects”: Meet with students Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 hour each day, from September to late May.
Occasional after-school participation at school events and activities.
An experienced chef or culinary arts leader who is skilled in culinary and cooking skills and techniques
A motivated leader who can teach students in the Culinary Arts Project on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:25pm-3:25pm (from September until late May)
An enthusiasm for collaborating with internal and external partners in the best interest of students
A self-directed learner who solicits and implements feedback to improve outcomes and achieve objectives
A demonstrated commitment to supporting students’ social emotional and academic development

Compensation
Coaches will receive an annual stipend of $6,052.00 based on experience and contracted hours per week, paid semi-monthly.
If at any point during the year, you stop performing these responsibilities before they are fully completed, for any reason, your stipend will be adjusted in accordance.
