Role Overview

The Project Architect will work closely with our development team to lead design efforts on new and ongoing projects. This includes preparing drawings and presentations for feasibility, permitting, and construction, coordinating with consultants, and managing the architectural process in-house to accelerate our project timelines and reduce reliance on third-party firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and test fit studies during acquisition and feasibility stages
• Prepare full drawing sets for Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documents (CD)
• Coordinate and review consultant drawings (MEP, structural, civil, landscape)
• Prepare materials for Article 80 Small Project Review, zoning submissions, and public meetings
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and permitting consultants during pre-construction
• Participate in Construction Administration (CA), including RFIs, submittals, and site coordination
• Use Revit and AutoCAD to develop accurate, buildable drawing sets
• Maintain project documentation and ensure code compliance with MA building code and zoning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
• Licensed Architect (RA) in Massachusetts or expected licensure within 12 months
• 3–6 years of professional experience, preferably with multifamily or mixed-use projects
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
• Working knowledge of zoning analysis, building code, and permitting processes
• Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing consultants and coordinating across disciplines
