Position Summary
Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic K-3 Classroom Teacher who is committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of early elementary students. Teachers work closely with colleagues, families, and support staff to deliver high-quality instruction in a structured, supportive learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and maintain a consistent, developmentally appropriate classroom schedule.
Deliver instruction aligned with the Core Knowledge curriculum and school standards.
Document and monitor both lesson plans and student academic progress regularly.
Modify instruction and provide accommodations based on IEPs and 504 plans as needed.
Participate in IEP meetings and complete required Special Education documentation.
Engage in weekly grade-level meetings, Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings, and staff meetings.
Attend and conduct four parent-teacher conferences per year (two in the fall, two in the spring).
Participate in professional development, peer observations, and collaborative planning.
Attend school events such as “Back to School Night,” open houses, and seasonal programs.
Fulfill morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties as assigned.
Uphold and enforce all school-wide policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by grade-level or school leadership.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position with a four-and-a-half-day weekly schedule.
