About the role
As a Sourcing Manager you are responsible for sourcing highly complex and innovative technologies for cutting-edge projects and you develop and drive the execution of the Category Strategy. All of this is done while outperforming on commercial and technology level and minimizing risk on quality and logistical level. Per (sub-) Category you are managing relationships with vendors and manufacturers while capturing cost reductions and developing and executing the category strategy.This role is situated at our rapidly growing US regional headquarters in Canton, MA which is a small but growing team, and will provide many opportunities to interact will all levels of the organization. You will work closely with the rest of the US supply chain team as well as the sourcing team globally (USA/Netherlands/China). This is a hybrid position allowing for a flexible schedule whether in the office or at home.
Key responsibilities
Co-define and execute the short- and long-term strategy for your category.
Engage with and support the different Program-teams in the Prodrive organization to drive the business priorities such as supply continuity, cost, quality and technology advancement.
Manage regular contact with strategic suppliers.
Drive and lead commercial and contractual negotiations.
Take the lead in escalations when needed and support the Quality and Purchasing team when needed.
Lead business reviews with suppliers to drive strategic objectives and manage performance.
Develop the category supply base, scout and develop new suppliers and phase out redundant suppliers.
Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical or business-oriented field
3-7 years of relevant work experience
Team player with strong communication skills
Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, up to executive level
Supplier relationship management proficiency, able to strongly iterate demands in a constructive manner
Entrepreneurial and mutual benefit ‘win-win’ attitude
Able to obtain buy-in from internal (executive) stakeholders
Experience in purchasing within the electronics space is preferred
A passion for technology
Authorized to work in the US
Salary Range: $62,000-$80,000
