Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of our financial records. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of our daily accounting functions, from accounts payable/receivable and payroll to month-end close and financial reporting. This role requires high accuracy, proficiency in Quickbooks and Salesforce experience highly desired, with the ability to work independently to ensure financial compliance and provide clear insights to management.
Key Responsibilities
Daily & Weekly Operations
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and execute weekly payments.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate customer invoices, post payments, and manage collection efforts.
- Cash Management: Monitor daily bank and credit card activity to ensure proper account coding.
- General Ledger: Maintain accurate books by recording all daily financial transactions.
Monthly & Quarterly Reporting
- Reconciliations: Reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards, and loan balances monthly.
- Month-End Close: Perform closing procedures, including journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Financial Statements: Prepare monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for ownership.
- Sales Tax: Calculate, prepare, and file state and local sales tax returns.
Payroll & Compliance
- Payroll Processing: Run regular payroll, managing tracking for hours, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Tax Forms: Handle annual processing and distribution of W-2 and 1099 forms.
- CPA Collaboration: Organize and prepare all financial documentation for year-end tax returns.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of dedicated full-charge bookkeeping experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic GAAP and payroll compliance rules.
