Company . Mavel Americas, Inc. is the Boston-based subsidiary of Mavel, a.s., a Czech-American owned renewable energy

company based outside of Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 1990, Mavel has become a leading global supplier of turbines

and related equipment for small and medium hydroelectric power projects. The company offers a full range of turbines,

including Kaplan, Francis and Pelton, providing customers with customized and optimized solutions. A leader in research and

development, Mavel’s experience and success with low head turbines for existing dams and innovative solutions for

equipment refurbishment/replacement projects is unparalleled. Other applications include city water systems, irrigation

channels, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Mavel Americas, Inc. oversees all of Mavel’s operations in the Americas, including Canada, USA and Latin America. The

company is growing rapidly with more than twenty projects currently underway in the region.

Description of Position. Mavel Americas, Inc. is seeking a Site Supervisor to provide on-site project supervision of the

installation of equipment for new projects. The Site Supervisor may reside anywhere in North America and be full time or

part time. The Site Supervisor may spend extended periods of time at project locations.

Responsibilities. The responsibilities of the Site Supervisor include the following:

• Cooperation with and support of Technical Advisor from Mavel, a.s.

• Assurance that projects comply with Mavel installation procedures and protocols

• Management of Mavel subcontractors on site

• Technical advisory support to owner representative and sub-suppliers

• Cooperation with other on-site contractors

• Assurance of compliance with all applicable health and safety guidelines

• Reporting and documentation of any incidents that occur at the construction site

• Identification of non-conformities and recommendations for corrective actions

• Preparation of daily logs meeting contractual requirements

• Reporting on progress of the work and performance of Mavel subcontractors

• Compliance with project schedule and support on development of changes / recovery plans

• Maintenance of good relationship with project owners, site workers, contractors, and site suppliers

Desired Skills. The following are desired, but not mandatory, skills.

• Engineering degree or Trade Diploma

• Strong understanding of equipment installation methods

• On-site experience in hydroelectric power or mechanical/electrical systems

• Organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
