Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students in grades 3-5 by utilizing your expertise in special education. This full-time, contract opportunity runs throughout the academic year and offers a dynamic, encouraging environment alongside passionate colleagues.

Your week will encompass 37.5-40 hours, following standard school hours from 8:25 AM to 3:30 PM with additional time dedicated to meetings, planning, and collaborative responsibilities until 4:30 PM. You'll play a vital role in shaping individualized learning experiences and fostering growth for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid special education certification appropriate for grades 3-5
• Strong background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Effective communication abilities with students, staff, and families
• Experience adapting curriculum to meet a range of learning styles and abilities
• Passion for supporting academic, social, and emotional development

What you'll accomplish:

• Design and deliver engaging instructional strategies aligned with IEP goals
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere for all learners
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
• Encourage self-advocacy and confidence in every student
