Our Boston office is looking for a Structural Engineering Intern/ Co-op who is excited to support the design of concrete, steel and timber structures at the water’s edge. During your time with us, you will assist in the preparation of structural calculations, develop contract drawings and specifications, and support construction administration. Some of the structures we design include piers, wharves, seawalls, and flood infrastructure.
You will be given the opportunity to interface with world class structural, geotechnical, and coastal engineers and gain exposure to the planning and design of port facilities and urban waterfronts. We are excited about meeting you! YOU are the future of our company.
Here's what you'll need
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university or college
- Developing knowledge of concrete, steel and timber design codes as well as ASCE7.
- Exposure to engineering programs including AutoCAD, Revit, Risa or STAAD, and MathCAD
- Ability to work well in a group or team atmosphere; willing to ask questions and present thoughts or solutions during tasks
- Previous internship experience with exposure to construction drawings and the overall design process
- Demonstrated leadership experience, whether through large group projects or collegiate extracurriculars and student groups
- Excellent writing and communication skills (samples of writing to be provided by applicants)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

45,000.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
65,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $65,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
