Sterile Processing Tech Job Details

• Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Menino Pavilion, Nursing Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Sterile Processing Technician
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (3:00pm – 11:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
• Schedule: Monday–Friday required; one weekend per month; every other holiday; no blocked scheduling; no RTO approved for first 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1380–$1410 per week

Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of acute care sterile processing experience
• At least 1 year of recent travel sterile processing tech experience
• Proficient in decontamination, sterilization, assembly (prep & pack), case cart picking, and endoscope reprocessing
• Current CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) by IAHCSMM or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) by ASHCSP certification (must be maintained with CEUs)
• High School Diploma or GED (education documentation required)
• Excellent English communication skills
• Preferred: Experience in Level 1 Trauma facility, strong background in orthopedics and micro-instruments
• Willingness to float to multiple hospital departments

Sterile Processing Tech Responsibilities

• Perform all sterile processing duties including decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and case cart picking
• Reprocess endoscopes and specialized surgical equipment
• Float to various hospital departments as needed for clinical support
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Collaborate with nursing and surgical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
