The Position
Our client is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a position in Lowell, MA. They are a key member of the Interdisciplinary Team, providing psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacology management, and behavioral health consultation for older adult participants. This role involves both clinic-based and in-home/facility care, working closely with primary care clinicians, nursing staff, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality, integrated behavioral healthcare.

- Salary Range : $132,906.78 – $159,638.64 (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Caseload: Approximately 6 patients per day
- Perform psychiatric evaluations (routine and urgent) and develop individualized behavioral health treatment plans.
- Provide psychopharmacology management with psychotherapeutic support.
- Conduct home visits and nursing facility visits for participants unable to attend clinic.
- Monitor patient response to psychotropic medications and adjust treatment accordingly.
- Document interventions, medication plans, and treatment rationale in the EHR.
- Provide behavioral health consultation to the Interdisciplinary Team to enhance integrated care.
- Collaborate on care and treatment plans, ensuring evidence-based interventions.
- Assist with program development and quality improvement projects.
- Cover for Behavioral Health colleagues when needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- ANCC certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health NP or CNS.
- Licensed to practice in Massachusetts with prescriptive authority.
- 2–3 years of experience in Psychiatric practice with prescriptive responsibilities.
- Experience with older adults preferred, including psychopharmacology, crisis evaluations, and caregiver consultation.
- Current DEA registration in Massachusetts.
- Current CPR certification.
- COVID-19 vaccination (or approved exemption).
- Ability to pass respirator fit testing (no facial hair that interferes with mask seal).
