Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AV Support Technician to join our Audio Visual (AV) Support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting AV conference rooms, live events, and video conferencing systems, along with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Audio Visual & Technical Support

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and repair AV equipment including projectors, microphones, cameras, displays, and video conferencing systems
  • Provide Level 1 troubleshooting for conference room AV devices (ClickShare, Polycom, phones, etc.)
  • Perform hands-and-eyes support including racking, stacking, patching, and cabling
  • Support live webcasts, large meetings, and events
  • Perform routine maintenance such as restarting devices, replacing projector bulbs, and worn-out cables
  • Keep AV cabinets, VC units, and equipment areas clean and organized

Operations & Inventory Management

  • Manage AV hardware inventory , cables, and accessories to avoid shortages
  • Track incidents and service requests; ensure timely resolution and updates
  • Coordinate OEM warranty replacements for faulty equipment
  • Maintain adequate spare parts inventory
  • Convert incidents to work orders (WOs) and assign them promptly
  • Update equipment status and inventory records in Remedy

Documentation & Training

  • Create and maintain AV end-user documentation
  • Develop training manuals and instructional guides
  • Provide quick user training on AV technologies such as VC systems, Trios, and 360&degree; cameras
  • Assist with software upgrades and testing in coordination with AV teams

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and client safety policies
  • Use required PPE and safety equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly
  • Maintain a harassment-free and safe workplace
  • Comply with OHS Act, regulations, and safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 years of hands-on AV support experience
  • Strong understanding of conference room technologies
  • Experience with live event and webcast support
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Willingness to work onsite and support events as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in corporate environments
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (Remedy preferred)
  • Prior exposure to SWAT / incident response teams
