Position Overview and Expectations
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic kitchen leader with a focus on consistent execution and results. Shy Bird’s Kitchen Manager will lead and drive all daily kitchen operations at the restaurant. The expectations of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Team management and supervisory
- Scheduling to costed schedules
- Cost of goods oversight, ordering, inventory and waste management
- Work with team to standardize and maintain recipes for all items
- Maintain order guides and order accurately and efficiently
- Food safety expertise and practice
- Consistent prep production and menu execution
- Conflict resolution and team motivation
Experience and Skills
- You have at least 1 years in a leadership position in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (quick service or fast casual restaurant experience preferred).
- You are Food Safety Manager Certified.
- You have the proven ability to lead, motivate, and build a cohesive kitchen team.
- You are passionate about making and serving high-quality, consistent, delicious food.
- You collaborate with other restaurant managers to maintain a welcoming, fun work environment for both front and back of house team members.
- You obsess about the customer experience, and speak up when the food isn’t up to your standards.
- You have a bias for action, correcting mistakes and finding creative solutions.
- You are fair and polite, seeking the good in others and assuming positive intent.
Compensation
- $65,000-$78,000 Annual Salary (based on experience)

Descripción general del puesto y expectativas
Buscamos un líder de cocina experimentado y entusiasta que se centre en la ejecución y los resultados consistentes. El gerente de cocina de Shy Bird dirigirá e impulsará todas las operaciones diarias de cocina en el restaurante. Las expectativas del puesto incluyen, entre otras:
- Gestión y supervisión de equipos.
- Programación según cronogramas presupuestados
- Supervisión del costo de los bienes, pedidos, inventario y gestión de residuos.
- Trabajar con el equipo para estandarizar y mantener recetas para todos los artículos.
- Mantener guías de pedidos y realizar pedidos de forma precisa y eficiente.
- Experiencia y práctica en seguridad alimentaria.
- Preparación, producción y ejecución del menú consistentes
- Resolución de conflictos y motivación del equipo.
Experiencia y habilidades
- Tiene al menos 1 año en una posición de liderazgo en un entorno de alto volumen y ritmo rápido (se prefiere servicio rápido o experiencia en un restaurante informal y rápido).
- Usted está certificado como Gerente de Seguridad Alimentaria.
- Tiene la capacidad demostrada de liderar, motivar y construir un equipo de cocina cohesionado.
- Te apasiona preparar y servir comida deliciosa, consistente y de alta calidad.
- Colabora con otros gerentes de restaurantes para mantener un ambiente de trabajo acogedor y divertido para los miembros del equipo tanto del frente como del back-office.
- Te obsesionas con la experiencia del cliente y denuncias cuando la comida no está a la altura de tus estándares.
- Tienes predisposición a la acción, a corregir errores y a encontrar soluciones creativas.
- Eres justo y educado, buscas el bien en los demás y asumes intenciones positivas.
Compensación
- Salario anual de $65,000 a $78,000 (según experiencia)
- Bono mensual disponible
