Asbestos Sampling Technician
a fast-growing environmental services company serving restoration and insurance-driven projects, is seeking a Licensed Asbestos Sampling Technician / Environmental Inspector to join their team in the Greater Boston area. This is a field-based position focused on pre-restoration asbestos inspections and sample collection. It's a great opportunity for a licensed asbestos inspector who enjoys independent work, consistent field activity, and contributing to public safety without performing abatement work.
What You'll Do as the Asbestos Sampling Technician / Environmental Inspector:
- Conduct on-site asbestos inspections and collect bulk material samples per Massachusetts DLS regulations
- Accurately label, document, and submit samples to certified laboratories
- Coordinate scheduling and site access with internal operations teams
- Follow all PPE, safety, and regulatory requirements on-site
- Maintain clear records, reports, and chain-of-custody documentation
- Travel locally between job sites daily across Greater Boston
Must-Haves as the Asbestos Sampling Technician / Environmental Inspector:
- Active Massachusetts DLS Asbestos Inspector license
- Experience performing asbestos inspections and bulk sampling in the field
- Strong understanding of state inspection protocols and safety practices
- Self-motivation and comfort working independently in the field
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice-to-Haves as the Asbestos Sampling Technician / Environmental Inspector:
- EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector certification
- Certifications in mold, air quality, or microbial testing
- Prior experience as an environmental field technician or lead inspector
- Familiarity with restoration, insurance, or construction job environments
