Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients, monitoring maternal and fetal status.
- Assess labor progression, administer medications as ordered (including analgesics and oxytocin as prescribed), and document findings in the charting system.
- Assist with delivery, provide immediate post-delivery care to the mother and newborn, and support newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
- Monitor vital signs, manage pain and comfort, and support family members throughout the labor and delivery process.
- Collaborate with obstetric physicians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff; respond to obstetric emergencies promptly.
- Maintain infection control practices, ensure patient safety, privacy, and advocacy, and complete required charting and handoffs accurately.

Requirements
- Licensure: Massachusetts RN license (in hand at time of submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Education: Not specified in this posting
- Ability to work the 3x12 Night shift in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
- Compliance: COVID-19 vaccination + booster required; no exemptions
