The Edward J. Madden Open Hearts Camp is a summer camp in Great Barrington, MA. We provide a fun and engaging summer camp for children who have survived open heart surgery.

Hiring Summer Camp Nurses for kids cardiac summer camp.

Nurse needed from July 4th to July 17th. Travel expenses covered by camp and we pay $275/day.

All our campers have had open heart surgery and are healthy enough for overnight summer camp.

Job Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as a Camp Nurse. As a Camp Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for campers. This is a paid position. We pay $275/day and cover all travel expenses.

Duties:

- Engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being looking for signs of exhaustion

- Provide medications, and look for signs of dehydration

- Provide guidance to Summer Director on health needs of campers

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp nurse room

- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper health

Experience:

- Previous experience working with children in a pediatric setting preferred

- Cardiac experience is NOT required.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Licensed RN (MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO GET A MASSACHUSETTS LICENSE)

Skills:

- Medication administration

- Documentation of health care administration

We offer competitive pay rates for Camp Nurses. This is a temporary position for the duration of the camp session. July 4th to 17th.
