Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, or dementia. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
  • Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and hygienic living space.
  • Support clients with memory care techniques and engage them in activities that promote cognitive function.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home health care or assisted living environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is advantageous.
  • CPR certification is required; additional training in catheter care, hospice care, or dementia care is a plus.
  • Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions and report changes effectively.
  • Ability to work compassionately with individuals who have disabilities or special needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

8:00am - 10:00pm

5:30pm- 7:30pm
