Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, or dementia. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and hygienic living space.
- Support clients with memory care techniques and engage them in activities that promote cognitive function.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is advantageous.
- CPR certification is required; additional training in catheter care, hospice care, or dementia care is a plus.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions and report changes effectively.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals who have disabilities or special needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

5:30pm- 7:30pm
