What You'll Do:

• Review menus and prepare meals according to planned menus, therapeutic diet requirements, and alternative selections while adhering to sanitary and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietitian to implement recommended changes and ensure proper meal preparation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked food storage and preparation areas, ensuring supplies are ready for each meal.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with CNAs and other team members to support smooth kitchen and resident operations.
• Participate in in-service programs and perform other duties as assigned to support the dietary department.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
• 1-2 years of experience in kitchen operations.
• Must possess a valid ServSafe certification or be willing to obtain certification.
• Maintains required competencies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Physically able to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and lift/carry up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds or more with assistance.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English.
• Experience working in a Kosher food service environment or familiarity with Kosher dietary laws and practices.
