As the Specialist you will be responsible for providing support to attorneys in protecting and managing trademark rights for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting all stages of searching, filing, prosecution and maintenance of U.S. trademark applications and registrations, including, statements of use, extensions of time, amendments to allege use, Sections 8 & 15 declarations, and other filings.
- Drafting communications with foreign associates, including search and file instructions for foreign trademark applications
- Reviewing product labeling, marketing, and advertising material to ensure appropriate use of trademarks.
- Coordination and notarization of signatures for documents, and arranging apostille and/or legalization; assist with patent formalities as needed
- Providing intellectual property support to global stakeholders by preparing and disseminating IP reports.
- Assisting with e-billing and document management software, and assisting with projects that are large in scope and complexity, often involving very diverse areas of the law and many stakeholders
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a trademark or IP paralegal
- Outstanding time-management, prioritization skills, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point) preferred
