Biologist

Job Title: Biologist
Location: Boston, MA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $48-55.82/hr
Hours: Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm

Responsibilities
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot ELISA-based assays for target quantification
• Assist with adaptation of manual ELISA workflows to automated liquid handling systems (e.g., Hamilton STAR/Nimbus, Beckman Biomek, or equivalent) to support high-throughput assays
• Analyze samples using dPCR, qPCR and RNA-Seq pending project direction
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and standards following established protocols and SOPs
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) records in compliance with data integrity standards
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Analyze and summarize experimental data and present results in regular project meetings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists to advance project timelines
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines applicable to the laboratory

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry) with ELISAs, and automated liquid handlers
• Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and documentation practices
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Work schedule: Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm
