Mental Health Advocate - Every Weekend

HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time Mental Health Advocates. This position stars of at a premium rate of $23 per hour in exchange for a 40 hour per week, every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) schedule.

Shifts:

Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Evening Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:30am

Shift Differentials:

Evening Shift: +$1.25/Hour

Night Shift: +$2.00/Hour

Weekend Shift: +$1.50/Hour

• Note: The weekend shift differential is cumulative; Example – a weekend evening shift would equate to a +$2.75 cumulative differential)

HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. As a Mental Health Advocate, ou will:

• Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
• Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities

Requirements

• High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in human services field preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Physical Fitness – Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working with patient in acute psychiatric distress
